Geographic Authenticity of Our Brazilian Mushrooms

In the wild, Agaricus blazei Murill grows in conditions with large intraday climatic variations. As a litter-decomposing fungus, Agaricus blazei Murill requires soil rich with organic debris and normally grows in forests and well-manured grasslands. Since it takes several months to cultivate the fruiting body of Agaricus blazei Murill in the lab and the quality of the mushroom is hard to control, most products sold in today’s market suffer from poor-quality and dubious efficacy compared to those harvested directly from the wild. For one, many of the mushroom cultures have been found to be laced with heavy metals. This issue was particularly problematic in the past with mushrooms exported from several regions in China. Since this type of mushroom, like most other mushrooms, shows an insatiable ability to absorb all kinds of minerals, it is easy to understand why the mushroom will accumulate and even concentrate heavy metals if the cultivating conditions are substandard. This unfortunately appears to be the case in most, if not all, of the farms that we have visited.

In order to ensure high-quality mushrooms, we supply our cultures with an environment designed to replicate their natural habitat found in the mountainous regions of Piedade, Brazil. These environmental conditions encompass not only physicochemical conditions but also biotic factors that affect the growth and maturation of the mushrooms. We have found that these environmental conditions are not static and that they vary depending on the growth and maturation stage of the mushrooms. Among the many biotic factors, we emphasize a rich environment full of minerals, trace elements, and other micro-nutrients. We have found it necessary to place extra care on this balance as well as the sourcing and hygiene of these nutrients since the Brazilian mushroom species will literally soak in the right mixture of nutrients provided. For example, our mushroom mycelia cells come with our signature Primordia Elements®, a comprehensive and balanced mixture of water-soluble minerals and trace elements dissolved in micro-clustered water that had been energetically activated through a series of materials and vortex-related technologies developed in house. This intricate combination of growth conditions and nutrients ensures optimal growth for our mushrooms, such that they will carry the unique aroma and vitality of the wild mushroom and will taste differently from all other mushrooms currently harvested by man. Not surprisingly, upon laboratory analysis, our mushrooms reveal a rich profile of bioactive compounds that is typically more enriched than the wild mushrooms sampled.

High Quality, 100% Pure Extracts

Our 100% water-soluble nutrient broths ensure that we are able to grow our mycelia without the contamination of residues left from the culture medium. While other market products may be composed of unconverted substrates from insoluble solids in the culture medium, our offerings are 100% pure and 100% mushroom. We also use low-temperature freeze-drying technology to maintain high enzymatic bioactivity in our products.
