Ganoderma lucidum

Ganoderma and Health

Ganoderma lucidum has been recognized as a precious health supplement for thousands of years. The Ancient Chinese Pharmacopoeia claims that it is one of the few truly “superior” medicinal agents that can strengthen and augment the body’s well-being.

Known as “Lingzhi” in China and as “Reishi” in Japan, the mushroom is found in the humid coastal villages of China and Japan. The mushroom grows in shaded, rotting logs or trunks of the chestnut, oak, and plum trees. Because of its specific growing requirements, Ganoderma lucidum is extremely rare in the wild and requires the right combination of humidity and oxygen levels to thrive. Through modern biotechnology techniques and by carefully employing a cultivation strategy that seeks to attain “geographical authenticity,” Primordia has been able to successfully cultivate the mushroom to a level of perfection equal to its wild-type counterpart, making an ancient prized treasure readily available to the general public.

Our Uniquely Authentic Ganoderma Offerings

Our product is carefully made from wall-broken spores harvested from the wild and concentrated aqueous extracts of mycelia and fruiting bodies. Through an advanced proprietary bio-fermentation and in-house cell rupturing process, we break the natural spores—normally inaccessible and indigestible—at a rate as high as 99.5%. As a result, our product is rich in polysaccharides, triterpenoids, polypeptides, peptidoglycan, nucleotides, ganoderic acids, and trace elements that are readily assimilated by the body.

In order to replicate what Mother Nature does in the wild, we have carefully monitored the natural conditions of Ganoderma lucidum so as to mimic them under a precisely controlled environment. This attention includes the type of water used, the lighting and temperature conditions, and the complex mixture of micro-nutrients found in the environment. This unique combination of both physicochemical and biotic factors has allowed us to produce a superior product that has been proven to be even more potent than the mushrooms found in the wild. Among the micro-nutrients used, we pay special attention to the makeup of our cultivation medium, which is 100% water-soluble and can be completely assimilated by our mushroom cultures. In addition, our mushroom extracts are uniquely enriched with our signature Primordia Elements®, a comprehensive mixture of nano-sized, organically-chelated elements. Our product can be used as a potent health supplement to boost physical strength, enhance body metabolism, and promote overall health.

Our cultured strain of Ganoderma lucidum has a 99.390% similarity in rDNA sequence with the wild-type strain, confirming that our mushroom is the true wild-type species.

In order to properly grow and cultivate our mushroom cultures, we supply our cultures with the right balance of humidity, temperature, aeration, and light conditions that mimic the original natural habitat of Ganoderma. Our Ganoderma mycelia are grown in a water-soluble medium that does not leave any residues. Our offerings contain 100% pure mushroom extracts.

Our spores are broken down at a rate as high as 99.5% to expose the various effective ingredients contained within the tough, chitinous outer shell. Our ground-breaking technology makes it much easier for the body to absorb the nutrients encased within the Ganoderma spores.

Known as the Reishi mushroom in Japan, Ganoderma has been traditionally referred to as the “elixir of life” and the “mushroom of immortality.” It was used to boost immunity and energy levels, alleviate inflammation, and improve liver function.

Disclaimer: These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. In fact, we believe that in order to obtain optimal health, there is the need for a radical transformation in one’s lifestyle that should include the adherence to a balanced diet, regular exercise, proper methods of breathing, and positive and healthy ways of thinking. In this sense then, the mushrooms can be seen as adjuvants for health. It should be noted that the activities of wild-type Ganoderma are being shared here for educational purposes only. Interested readers can pursue further literature research to assess the validity and the reliability of these activities and to arrive at an impartial and educated view of this species of mushroom.
